Know Isabel
Isabel is a highly experienced Portuguese language lecturer with over two decades of teaching at King’s College London University, London Business School, Saint Charles Catholic Sixth Form College and several private schools. She specialises in A-Level teaching, and undergraduate and adult education teaching A1 - C2 levels, as well as designing teaching materials on the language, culture, and history of the Lusophone countries, especially Portugal and Brazil.
Isabel’s successful career began in 2002 and since then she has received many accolades. In 2024 she was awarded the prize of Portuguese Teacher of the Year 2024 UK by the prestigious Portuguese Camoes Institute.
Throughout her career Isabel has helped hundreds of students to pass multiple exams, namely at KCL and LBS; the A2 level Ciple exam to apply for Portuguese citizenship, and GCSE and A-Level exams.
Last academic year, Isabel’s A-Level students achieved the best results in Portuguese in the UK.
Isabel is herself a linguist speaking four languages fluently, as well as Portuguese sign language.
